IT Project Manager Tasks: What does an IT project manager do?
IT project management at STRABAG includes all IT project manager tasks that are necessary to successfully implement IT projects. You coordinate teams, work with IT project management software and use Scrum or Kanban as IT project management methods. You have an understanding of processes and also think about topics such as IT security, ISO 27001, ISMS and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Typical IT project management tasks for us are
- Planning, control and monitoring of IT projects
- Coordination with internal specialist departments, software development, UX / UI design and IT infrastructure as well as external service providers
- Requirements management and user-centered UI design for digital solutions
- Selection of suitable tools and methods for IT project management
- Risk management and resource planning
- Documentation, reporting and quality assurance
- Support with market analysis
Our project diversity ranges from cloud migrations and mobile construction site solutions to AI-supported analysis tools. In IT project management, we place particular emphasis on interfaces to construction sites, offices and international teams as well as the integration of modern technologies such as cloud, AI and big data.
