IT Infrastructure / Cloud Automation

This is us
From the latest network technologies to cloud and automation projects to hosting, we work every day to ensure global IT operations at STRABAG.
How we work
As an international team, we do everything we can to make the digital transformation in the Group visible and usable for every employee. We are divided into teams with different specializations:
Cloud / Automation: The Cloud team manages account provisioning and defines the guidelines and governance rules for the use of resources from our cloud systems (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP) within FinOps reporting. The Automation team develops solutions and tools to automate the maintenance of internal on-prem and cloud resources.
Network: The Network team acts as a link and provides secure and stable data connections for projects of different sizes worldwide.
Hosting: The Hosting team ensures that existing and future applications are correctly integrated and set up in accordance with the internal framework conditions. In doing so, we provide operating platforms, services and resources to ensure the flawless functionality of all applications. In addition, the team acts in an advisory role and supports the onboarding process as well as the integration and architecture development of application systems.
Client: The evaluation and implementation of new and existing Group hardware is one of the core topics of our International Client Development team. Other key areas of responsibility include the development of software packages and the design and operation of LRS® Print Management.
M365 Platform: The M365 Platform team is responsible for governance and compliance issues in the M365 context, with much of this revolving around the life cycle of feature updates. Evaluation, integration and consulting for Azure Enterprise Apps round off the team's portfolio.

Understanding technical conditions holistically: IT Infrastructures at STRABAG
In the Network department, Markus Benovsky and his team look after over 1,000 VPN connections. His day-to-day work involves exciting technical "puzzles" and dealing with new technologies, such as the current switch from traditional WAN to software-defined WAN. Such projects are often intertwined with other specialist groups, which is why it is important to understand them holistically and bring together the activities of the individual teams.
