We are looking for a candidate for the position Team Leader of the Czech IT-Services team. The candidate will lead the team of over a dozen colleagues responsible for internal customer support within the 1st and 2nd Line. The candidate will be responsible for the local Services Desk and for the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure on Strabag construction sites and offices. The Team leader will also act as a local multiplier for the Czech Team in terms of the knowledge and standards defined and implemented by the central IT Services organisation at Strabag.

Leading the Czech IT-Services team in providing IT support to internal customers at their offices/construction site offices, i.e.: 

  • Coordination and supervision of 1st and 2nd line work 
  • Coordination and supervision of the local unit responsible for deployment of IT infrastructure (offices and sites, rollouts, relocations) 
  • Keeping up to date with the standards defined for the international IT Services organisation and acting as a multiplier of this knowledge for your Czech team 
  • Contribution to centrally launched projects and implementations together with your team 
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of all daily activities of the team, including reports for central management 
  • Supporting the central IT purchasing team in contacts and negotiations with local suppliers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, or related field 
  • 3+ years professional experience in IT 
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of the ITIL standard 
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Practical experience and technical knowledge of IT infrastructure used within the corporate network 
  • Good knowledge of English C1/B2+ (knowledge of German would be an advantage)
  • Proven leadership, effective management, and team-building skills 
  • Capability to make strategic decisions aligned with organizational goals and IT strategy 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive team culture and effective collaboration
